Gavin Booth MBE

Businessman, occasional explorer, adventurer and speaker

Balancing a business career in Real Estate, Gavin also has a PASSION FOR ADVENTURE.

Gavin has dragged sleds across 2,000km of Arctic and Antarctic ice; competed in extreme ultra races in the Sahara desert,  the jungles of Guadaloupe, winter in Arctic Canada and at altitude in the Mont Blanc Massif.

Gavin believes that doing extraordinary things in extreme places gives a balance of perspective, creates a positive attitude and energy across all aspects of life and career. Gavin hopes to provide inspiration to his young family and beyond.

Gavin was awarded MBE in 2011, is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society (FRGS), Member of Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS).

He has served on committees of the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust for 15 years, and was a Trustee from 2012-2023.

In 2008 Gavin Booth MBE and Adam Wilton MBE completed their British South Pole Expedition, an unsupported ski/foot journey to the Geographic South Pole in 45 days with no resupply. This was a British team record.

Another notable expedition was the  2007 North East Greenland Expedition (an unexplored area of Dronning Louise Land), spending a month travelling on the ice and making 8 first ascents.
